Abstract

Suša izaziva mnoge negativne posledice na životnu sredinu i na društvo. Ove posledice su dovele do novog shvatanja suše, odnosno do neophodnosti zajedničkog života sa sušom i njenim aktivnim upravljanjem. Pokazalo se da individualne mere protiv suše, koje se primenjuju nezavisno i nesistematski ne mogu da daju značajne rezultate. Kao posledica ovoga javlja se modeliranje suše kao glavni instrument za ublažavanje efekata suše. U radu su prikazane komponente modela suše. Upravljanje sušom, kao jedna od komponenti pri modeliranju suše, je posebno istaknuta i posmatrana je kroz dva sektora: upravljanje krizom i rizikom. Posebno je naglašena uloga upravljanja rizikom suše, kako bi se povećala pripravnost na sušu i efikasno ublažile posledica suše.
